Not only does SEO increase the number of visitors but also the quality of visitors, as it is targeted to a relevant audience.

There are many ways to help increase your visibility and attract more visitors to your website through SEO. We will look at 10 useful tips for doing so below.

1.       The first and most obvious tip is to ensure you are using keywords efficiently. Your keywords should feature in your title, this will also result in it appearing in your URL.

2.       A helpful tip to ensure you are getting the most from your keywords is to keep up to date with what keywords are popular, and regularly check online for what keywords are most relevant in your industry.

3.      A useful tool to help you optimize your website for SEO, is a feature on Google called Google Search Console. Here you can access a list of many reasons why according to Google, your website will not be ‘indexed’ by the search engine, meaning it will not appear in search results.

4.       Creating original content is essential, as the Google search engine detects duplicates of information, and there is a risk of your website being flagged as spam.

5.      In 2022 over 55% of all website traffic came from mobile devices, so having a website that is mobile-friendly is essential to boost your rankings. 

6.      Using links throughout your own website can also be beneficial, as this helps Google verify that your website is authentic and increases your chances of being pushed up in the search engine rankings.

7.      It is important to stay focused on your content, as search engine algorithms favor websites that have a series of posts or information on specific topics, as opposed to many different areas of information.

8.       Be consistent with the content you are putting out, the more recent your content is the more it will be favored by SEO.

9.       Include videos on your website. This will not only create more engaging content for your website visitors but also increase the amount of time spent on your site, which the search engine factors ranking websites.

10  Finally, a helpful way of boosting your website's ranking through SEO is to make sure you are accessing your website's SEO data analytics and utilizing them in your strategy.
